A new channel deserves its own measurement
Traffic and mentions coming from AI assistants behave differently from the rest and are growing fast. We measure them separately, on an ongoing basis, not with a one-off screenshot.
What it involves
We periodically repeat a set of questions relevant to your business across several platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews) and record whether you're mentioned, how, with which sources, and against which competitors.
We cross that data with AI-referred traffic that is measurable in your analytics, to see whether that presence translates into real visits and contacts.
Data
Why it's worth measuring this channel separately
AI-referred traffic is still small in volume for most businesses, but it's growing faster than any other channel and behaves differently.
| Metric | Figure | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Year-over-year growth of AI-referred traffic to retail | +138% (May 2026) | And a cumulative +1,324% since October 2024, when Adobe started measuring it, across more than a trillion analyzed visits to US retail websites. |
| Conversion of AI-referred traffic versus non-AI traffic | +54% better | Just a year ago, that traffic converted worse than non-AI traffic. The trend has reversed in twelve months, which makes measuring it well more urgent. |
| Time on site and pages viewed from AI traffic | +53% / +23% | Visitors arriving from an AI assistant spend more time and view more pages than the average across other channels, according to the same analysis. |

Who it's for
For businesses that have already worked on their AI visibility (or want to start) and need to know if it improves over time, not just how it stands today.
What we don't promise
Not every platform exposes complete referral data: on some, presence has to be inferred through repeated queries rather than an official panel.
AI-referred traffic volume is still small for most local businesses; measuring it well doesn't automatically turn it into your main channel.
Shall we start measuring your AI presence?
We start with an initial audit and build the tracking from there.
